Konstrack LLC is an official partner of the Ukrainian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation.
The Federation has always planned to launch, develop and popularize skeleton as an Olympic sport in Ukraine. Having withstood lengthy bureaucratic procedures, we managed to assert rights for recognition of this sport in our country. Our first young skeleton racer was fit and sent to the piste in Sigulda, Latvia, where experienced trainers, who raised champions of the world and of the Olympic Games, help us with ice training.
The photo depicts a sportsman of the youth team of Ukraine. It was the start of series of qualification preliminaries for the Olympic Games. “We keep our eyes on the prize!” – that is our motto of the year. Our first and long-awaited start in skeleton handed us a sensational victory. The 5th place, taken by a young athlete in bobsleigh and skeleton, became the first victory for our country and for the Federation in the modern history! First six crews are awarded. And this success gives us even more confidence and strength for qualification for the winter Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympic Games.
On the second Lillehammer Youth Olympic games 2016 our 23 sportsmen will participate in 9 disciplines such as: biathlon, cross skiing, bobsleigh, skiing, ski duel, ski jumping, skeleton, snowboarding, figure skating. Ukraine will take part in skeleton Olympic Games at first time. As we already know, Vladislav Geraskevich will represent our country and we wish you best awards and achievements.
In the beginning of the season of 2012-2013 the goal was set to take part in the St. Moritz 2013 World Championship. It was realized in the piste in Königssee (Germany). The photo below depicts the crew of the National bobsleigh Team of Ukraine: a starting stride of two-two-man bob, one of eight scheduled stages of the European Cup according to official calendar of events of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation.
2013. Our crew faced their next challenge in the piste in Königssee (Germany) in the European Bobsleigh Cup. Our combative mood and thirst for victory leads us forward to the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games.
The European Bobsleigh Cup in La Plagne (France). Our crew cleared the ice piste, which is located over 2,000 m above the sea level, and we successfully keep following our way to St. Moritz 2013 World Championship.
The qualification for and participation in the St. Moritz 2013 World Championship, which was held in the Celerina piste (Switzerland), was a historic event for our Federation and for the country, as this was the first championship in the history of modern Ukraine, where our crew was represented. The task was not that easy. Our athlete had to sleigh along new pistes for the first time, perform successfully and obtain a license, which qualifies for participation in the World Championship.
And we are finally here! We reached our goal! We are grateful to the coaching staff, athletes, sponsors and everyone who believed in us and supported us. It is just a beginning!
Our crew struggles for every score in the rating table, for every place in the score-sheet, for every split second in the piste in qualification for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games. The male bobsleigh is characterized with extremely high competitiveness. The photo below presents the start of the National Team of Ukraine in the Igls 2013 Bobsleigh European Cup.
